BRIAN O. LANIER is president and owner of Industrial
Opportunities Quality Training, an industrial training firm. Industrial Opportunities
specializes in quality improvement training, including statistical process control, design
of experiments, failure mode and effects analysis, team building, ISO 9001, internal auditing, root cause analysis, control plans, etc.
Mr. Lanier has led seminars at many Midwestern universities, including
Notre Dame, Southern Indiana, Trine, Indianapolis, Grand Valley State, Michigan State,
Toledo, Akron, Dayton, etc. He has also led seminars for several professional
societies, including SME, SPE, JA, and the Wire Association.
Mr. Lanier is a Senior Member and Chairperson of the American Society for
Quality and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He has
worked in industry for several companies in manufacturing management, engineering, and
quality assurance for twenty years prior to starting Industrial Opportunities in 1987.
He has a BS in math and an MS in industrial and systems engineering from Ohio
University.
He is married and has three children.

Biography

Melissa Rucinski
MELISSA O. RUCINSKI graduated summa cum laude with a BS
from Indiana State University. Since that time she has been a
business manager, a teacher, and a consultant. She has presented
seminars at Notre Dame, Kent State, Ohio State, Grand Valley State,
Youngstown State, and many other mid-western universities. She is a
certified lead auditor for ISO 14001 and her specialties include
statistical process control, root cause analysis, and failure mode and
effects analysis. Melissa is a Senior Member of the American Society
for Quality and has led presentations for various sections of ASQ.
Melissa is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
